What reminds you, even in challenging times, to stay true to yourself?
Recently, in Dreams and Visions and in the Dreamers’ Collective, we’ve been exploring archetypes — the deeper energies that move through us — and how they weave the stories we live.
This Easter, a rather fascinating archetype entered my awareness, as I attended a performance of Felix Mendelssohn’s oratorio Elijah.
It’s a moving homage to the prophet and miracle-maker, an important figure in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, as well as certain esoteric traditions.
Elijah is known for his fierce commitment to truth and his unshakable faith in the Divine, even when standing alone. In the oratorio, we follow him through conflict, despair, and revelation — and finally, in a moment of extraordinary power and grace, we witness his ascent to heaven in a whirlwind, accompanied by a chariot and horses of fire.
What a stunning portrayal of spiritual elevation!
The archetype of the prophet — one who sees and speaks truth, guided by a higher power and supported to transcend limitations — can serve as a powerful reminder.
Next time you’re encountering doubt or opposition, ask yourself:

What if you stayed true to your spiritual essence and had faith in the power within you?

How might you rise, be transformed, through the guidance and support always available to you?
